Rik also contributed to the early stages of Australia's New Payments Platform (NPP), before handing over due to a cycling accident.
Delivered Barclays Capital's first real-time pre-deal credit checking engine, providing instant risk measures across multiple asset classes. Project Catalysts then re-architected the Monte-Carlo credit risk calculation platform to scale tenfold, cutting batch duration in half and securing regulatory approval — while saving the bank millions in capital costs.
